Year 1 Spring Day 22-28 Stardew Valley Lets Play

This is my 4th video out of this series and I have another 7 saved and ready to be uploaded for the coming weeks, I do plan on recording more! The reason why this is raw footage is that it wouldn't let me edit a 2 hours straight video clip made by OBS on my light works video editor... The reason why there is no voice audio is I felt like recording this game on days that I feel sick or am in pain due to health issues, yet still keeping youtube happy.

I do think that the content is still lovely as raw as it is. I really enjoy the pleasant music that the game provides and you guys can just see how I did my own version of Stardew Valley as I was still learning how to play.

This was one of my first ever files. I am embarrassed to say that I know better for certain things in the game. I have already moved on to a third file just so it could be as efficient as possible. While this is not the most efficient way to play this game in the version of gameplay I am showing you in this blog I do think that it is still worth watching as background noise. I am guilty of doing that myself!

Second week in Stardew Valley

I think I have already spent over 50 hours playing this game and I can't stop. Once a week I plan on releasing another play through every single week as I already have 10 pre-recorded episodes.

Stardew Valley Lets Play First Week

No voice, just music and game sounds. I play this game a lot and thought that I would release a let's play of it at least once a week.

How to Become Twitch Affiliate In 7 days!

Tech that you need:

• computer
• lots of ram (I have 16, but 8 will do)
• computer game of choice or hobbie of choice

Extra Tech that helps:

• webcam
• microphone (a better one then your webcam's)
• headphones
• a second computer screen
• good lighting
• green screen

Social medias that are good to have:

• Twitter
• Discord
• Youtube
• Facebook (and relating facebook groups)
• Tumblr
• Reddit
• Blogger
• Instagram (not soooooo much but it helps)

I wouldn't recommend making new accounts for everything from scratch. you are going to want to reach out to crowds that have liked your content for a while to get that extra boost in the beginning. If you want to make new accounts as your Twitch account grows by all means! (Except discord. Definitely make a new discord.)

Also get an account with Streamlabs. This free online program will help you look like a pro from day one! I owe my success to this program half the time. 

Programs to download (that are free):

• OBS - (for live streaming) https://obsproject.com/
• Xsplit - (for local recording for different scenes for OBS) https://www.xsplit.com/
• Lightworks - (for editing scenes for OBS) https://www.lwks.com/

OBS is great for live streaming in general. That is what that program is for. As for the other two, Xsplit and Lightworks. You are going to want to make "scenes" for OBS. Like a "going online soon" scene, a "be right back" scene, "be right back making food" scene, "end of stream" scene. and more that you can think up. It really helps for when you need to get up and do something during a live stream and its almost like a commercial. Something for your viewers to look at when you are away from your computer.

Example: I JUST NOTICED THAT I SPELLED MAKING WRONG D':

Achievements you have to get done:

• ·       Part-time, full-time, overtime - Stream for 8 hours in the last 30 days
•      Like clockwork - Stream for 7 unique days in the last 30 days
•      Who watches the watchers?  - Reach 3 average viewers in the last 30 days
•      What is thy bidding? - Reach 50 followers

If you use all the social media in the list, ask for friends for help and stream every day for 7 days even if its just for an hour you'll probably make it. But pick a day where you live stream for 8 hours straight to get peoples attention, you'll get all the achievements in no time at all.

How did I reach Affiliate in 7 days? After I got my account all set up and so on I cracked right down on what I needed to do. I made sure my Streamlabs was up and running, I set up my OBS scenes the way I wanted them, and I got to work. I live streamed anywhere between 8-15 hours a day. I asked multiple friends to share my stuff not on their Facebooks but on other forms of social media. Different reddit subreddits, twitter with different hash tags, and so on. Utilize every social media output you have your hands on. I definitely did not do this on my own. but you have to go into this knowing if you want to get big quick you are going to need the help of your friends and loved ones. Once you get a solid crowd of people. A descent number of loyal followers you are golden. your numbers will steadily rise.

Do not forget to make connections. Acknowledge as many people in your chat room as possible. ALWAYS welcome new followers and thank every single subscriber you get! Make twitch friends. They will always have your back especially when it gets busy in your room.

There are settings in twitch that moderate your chatroom. USE THEM! It will give you and your mods a break from hardcore chat room scanning. The settings will let you know if someone is saying something questionable in your chat.

Also have at least 10 mods. You don't have to have 10 right away only make mods that you trust. But 10 is the magic number so that when a couple are gone and not there you will always have a few no matter what.

Gauge the room. If you are mainly playing minecraft? It's most likely going to be a younger crowd for the most part. so make sure what you are saying and doing caters to that crowd. Like for example someone dont want me swearing at all in my room, so I don't swear and I make sure my room is free from swearing. If you are mainly playing horror games and what not of course the crowd will be much different.

Keep a schedule. Twitch and your fans like to see consistency and it greatly improves the chances of someone constantly coming back. Like a TV show, if you are always on at a certain time people will expect that and come back specifically at that time just to see you.

I hope you take my little advice and have fun with it! Be different. Don't be afraid to be yourself because that's what makes you special as streamer. And being special in some way will help traffic build in your room. Good luck to you young streamers. You can do it! Take one achievement at a time.

Aquatic Update Boycott?!

Something that mojang is very careful about is changing things slowly so that old fans don't get mad and leave. As I was going through my new snapshot (in full detail this time) video, my boyfriend Aaron started talking about how minecraft is changing too much and how the "grappling hook/boomerang trident" sort of put him over the edge. Me, being a new fan of minecraft did not mind these changes. I feel as though the additions are very well welcomed. I think the new update coming out is going to be amazing!

Turtle Minecraft Snapshot

AQUATIC UPDATE SNAPSHOT

Who is just as excited as me about the new aquatic minecraft update?! On Valentine's day (Feb 14th 2018) they released the snapshot for the new minecraft aquatic update.

In this snapshot they talk about the new spawns, and a couple new blocks they are adding to the game. Here is a list that i put together of what the items are and if and how the abilities have changed:

• Phantoms
• Turtles
• swimming ability
• bubble columns
• ability to strip logs
• new trident weapon
• Squid new defence
• new kelp and sea grass blocks
• Items in water
• new prismarine stairs and slabs

Now I am going to show you what they look like and what they do!

New recipes unlocked box:

Nothing special, just something I noticed.

Phantoms:

They are a little smaller than I expected and I wasn't able to test out how they attack just yet.

Turtles:

They are so cute!

Bubble Columns:

The bubbles are caused by the magma blocks!

Stripped Logs and Bark:

This new block could look good for a new type of flooring, maybe in a barn or log cabin! 

New Trident Weapon:

This weapon, you throw it! but you wont get it back unless you go and pick it up again. It is very useful (so far) attacking the squids! It moves very fast through the water like a spear. If you want it to return i'll have to put a special new enchantment called Loyalty on it!

Turtle Helmet:

This is what it looks like on my character's head!

It is useful to help you stay underwater longer! it gives you an effect that will allow you to breathe an extra 10 seconds under water!

Squid Defence:

This is what it looks like when you hit a squid with the trident, it dispurses ink into the water so it has a few seconds to get away!

Kelp and Grass Blocks:

These are so beautiful, I can't wait to put them into my own at home fish tanks!

Items in Water:

When i killed that squid it released some items (ink) the items immediately started to float to the top of the water!

Prismarine Slabs and Stairs:

These are going to look so good for underwater or beach builds <3

In a future blog I am going to do my reactions to the new enchantments.
